Prepare Your Yard
We will do our best to mark the path and area needed for the excavation process. We do this so you can adjust the location of any precious yard items such as ornaments or sculptures, so as not to leave them in precarious locations. We are not responsible for items left in the excavation zone. If you feel unsure about an item or location, please don't hesitate to ask us.
Scheduling
We understand you have a lot going on in your life, so we do our best to be very clear about the scheduling. However, sometimes things out of our control might affect the schedule, such as weather or inspections. If we have to leave the job site due to the aforementioned delays, we will clearly mark any hazards for your safety.
Path for Machinery
It should be noted that the landscaping along the path to the excavation site, along with the actual excavation site will be affected. It's possible our heavy machinery will leave ruts in your yard. We might also have to remove shrubs that are in the way of the excavation site.
There will be a mound of dirt.
Possible Fence Removal
We do our best to work around your fence, but in some cases a small section will need to be removed. Please note fence repairs are separate from our work, and are best completed once soil has settled. If you share a fence with your neighbor, it might be a good idea to let them know of the upcoming repairs.
Work Inside Your Home
Occasionally, work will need to be performed inside the home as well. This could include some concrete removal. We will let you know if this work needs to be done before we begin.
Patience with Yard Restoration
It will take some time for your yard to settle back into its normal state. This is completely normal. We do offer leveling services as well as seed and straw services. This is not meant to replace any original landscaping.
