Additional Charges
Hard to Access Tank
If your tank access is covered by concrete, a deck, other landscape other than grass or dirt, the technician will give you a price to uncover the tank depending on how long it will take to get it uncovered. This extra cost will be given to you BEFORE the work is done.
If our truck is unable to get within 60 feet of your tank, we charge an additional $35 per extra hose. Each hose is 30 feet. The farther we are away from the tank, the harder the pump has to work and therefore, the life of the pump decreases. This extra cost will be given to you BEFORE the work is done.
If your tank happens to be deeper than 18 inches below the ground, there may be an additional charge to dig. This extra cost will be given to you BEFORE the work is done.
Poorly Maintained Tank
Some septic tanks, many of which have been neglected or not maintained, are unable to be pumped due to the solids in the tank becoming so solidified that the pump cannot pump through the hose. This is called sludge.
We do however offer a solution should this be the case. Our technicians all carry a piece of equipment on their truck, which is used, along with adding water, to break up the contents enough so that the tank can be pumped. This is, however, an extra charge. This extra cost will be given to you BEFORE the work is done and depends on the extent of the sludge.
Additional Inspections
Once the tank is pumped, our certified technicians will always take a look at the tank and the components. Upon inspection, the technician will point out any issues or make recommendations to make sure that your tank is working properly and efficiently. Any repairs that may be needed will be an extra charge. As always, this extra cost will be given to you BEFORE the work is done, and we will never do any work without your written consent.
