Oh, no - overflow!
If you have ever experienced the feeling of a toilet not flushing, you are not alone. The helplessness of the water rising in the bowl and spilling onto the floor is devastating. If you have a toilet that needs to be plunged on a regular basis, there is a reason. There is probably an obstruction in the trap or possibly further down the drainpipe. It also may be a sign of a larger problem farther down the main sewer line. Call us and we can clear any obstructions, run a camera down the line, and suggest any repairs that need to be made.
Save money, fix your toilet
Did you know that 90% of all leaks in a residential plumbing system are found in the toilet tank? Toilets that continuously "run" can waste up to 2 gallons of water per minute! This can add up to thousands of dollars every year. If you hear water running in your toilet tank for extended periods after a flush, then your toilet is leaking. It is dumping water down the overflow tube. The problem may be a corroded overflow pipe or flush valve assembly. It could also be the flapper valve. When you finally have had enough and are ready to stop jiggling the handle of your toilet, call us at 770-888-1931 and have a trained professional solve your problem. The money you save on your water bill will pay for the repair!
If your toilet was manufactured before 1994, it is probably costing you a fortune in water. Most pre-1994 toilets used 3.5 gallons per flush (gpf). Newer "low-flow" toilets use only 1.6 gallons per flush, but they still have the same flushing power as the old 3.5 gpf models. There is even a manufacturer today that is making a toilet with a dual flushing system which uses only 0.9 gallons to flush liquid waste but all 1.6 gallons to flush solid waste. Our technicians are available to answer any questions that you may have concerning environmentally friendly toilets and fixtures.
